چکیده

Background: Fractures of the scaphoid are second most common fractures upper limb after distal radius fractures. Rapid and accurate diagnosis is needed, because delayed initiation therapy increases risk complications such as non-union avascular necrosis. Objectives: To compare between diagnostic accuracies Computed Tomography Magnetic Resonance Imaging in detecting its complications. Methods: This study was carried out on 30 patients presented to private Hand clinic from October 2018 December 2019, with clinical symptoms tenderness anatomic snuffbox wrist trauma suspected have fracture plane X-ray. They were invited enroll a comparison CT MRI regard their utility. Results: The mean age for participants 31.8 years (SD = 12.6 years). Nineteen (66.7%) had horizontal fractures, 10 oblique structures (33.3). MDCT showed that 29 cortical 27 2 mixed one patient trabecular fracture. Conclusion: Multidetector superiority over detection involvement but inferior superior early stage I Scaphoid advanced collapse. necrosis proximal segment bone.

Bimodal magnetic resonance imaging-computed tomography nanoprobes: A Review

Bimodal imaging combines two imaging modalities in order to benefit from their advantages and compensate the limitations of each modality. This technique could accurately detect diseases for diagnostic purposes. Nanoparticles simultaneously offer diagnostic data via various imaging modalities owing to their unique properties. Moreover, bimodal nanoprobes could be incorporated into theranostic s...

Artifacts of Titanium, Zirconium, and Binary Titanium-Zirconium Abutments in Compute Tomography, Cone Beam Computed Tomography, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Aim: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate imaging artifacts induced by Titanium, Zirconium, Titanium-Zirconium abutments in CT, MRI and CBCT imaging modalities. Methods: A 4×8mm titanium fixture was inserted in a dry human mandible. Titanium, Zirconium and Titanium–Zirconium abutments measuring 10.5 mm in height are located on the fixture, one by one. Each abutment was scan...

a comparative study of the relationship between self-, peer-, and teacher-assessments in productive skills

Non-invasive coronary imaging: computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging?

Non-invasive coronary imaging has recently seen a rapid expansion of interest, fuelled largely by technical advances in both computed tomography (CT) and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR). The race is on for these two modalities to provide routine and robust imaging of coronary arteries in clinical practice. The rate of this progress has inevitably provided a bewildering array of develop...
